Rock Space WiFi Extender: How do I Connect it to My Router?

Rock Space Wi-Fi extenders are easy to set up. You just need to follow the simple steps and you will have a strong connection that can reach throughout your house or apartment. If you want to execute the Rockspace WiFi extender setup, the following instructions will guide you through the setup process step by step:

The WPS Setup Method

To set up your Rock Space extender using WPS on your router to configure the wireless setting, you need to press and hold the WPS button for approximately 3 seconds. When the LED light turns on, it means that your extender is connected to the router's network successfully. If it turns off after one minute, repeat these steps until the LED light turns on.

You will be notified by the LED light that turns solid green or a solid red. Green light means your extender is connected to the router, and you can start using it right away. Red light means your extender is not connected to the router, and you need to repeat the steps until you get a green light.

Simply put, just remember that if the green light is on, then there is a good connection between your extender and router. The red light indicates an unsuccessful connection between the extender and router.

Configure Through Web Browser

Once the extender is connected to the router, you can use any device to get started with your setup process.

  • You can log in using the default IP address or password.

  • After logging in, you will be able to access the setup page from the web browser.

  • Next, you need to go to a web browser and type the default IP address of the access point in the URL bar.

  • Note that, after setting up the access point, you need to change its password.

  • You can do this by using the web-based interface (the default IP address is 192.168.1.1).

  • Next, you need to go to a web browser and type the default IP address of the access point in the URL bar.

  • Once you're in, enter your server password. Or if it's still using its default password, use that. After that, click “Apply” at the bottom.

Once your extender is connected to your router wirelessly, then you can now enjoy an uninterrupted internet connection on all your devices.

Not Able to Login Using an IP Address?

If you are not able to open it by using this IP address, then try resetting your device. All the steps mentioned above will only work if you have set up your Rockspace access point correctly. In case you are facing any issues with the setup process, then make sure that you have followed all instructions correctly.

If even after following all these instructions, you are still having trouble accessing your router or cannot find a way to access it, then try resetting it back to factory defaults. Press and hold down on both buttons together for 5 seconds. Once done, connect the power adapter again and wait for 2 minutes before trying again. Note: If you get a red light, wait for one minute and then try again. If you receive a green light, then you are good to go.
